Mark ... can't help you much on the spam ... my email is not listed in my SI profile, but of course, SI has it ... I receive appx 100 emails per day *(no misprint ... between 60 and 150 per day) but I can count no more than two or three in the spam catagory .... Yeah .... that is the same thing MzNemer say .... HOW many????? ..... LOL unfortunately, it is true .. I belong to seven or eight fairly prolific bulletin boards, and I correspond with all of them regularly ..... you should see the back up when I take a few days off ..... Nemer

The only way you can find any SI members e-mail address is by going through her profile and clicking on the name, IF it is hot. That would be far too time consuming for a spammer. I get 99% of my spam on two internet e-mail accounts which I seldom use. My main e-mail account gets maybe 2 a week. The internet e-mail accounts get several each day and most are automatically shunted to the bulk mail folder, which is automatically purged after 30 days. Going after them is a wild goose chase because they change names and domains as easily as Norton changes virus definitions. :) Gottfried

Spam ... When I signed up for a HotMail account, I didn't want to divulge my income so I chose zero. I get all kinds of offers for debt consolidation, free money, loans, mortgages, and practically every scam known to man. I also get plenty of offers for high-school and college diplomas, as well as bachelor and post-graduate degrees through home-study. (A PhD in two months, studying one hour a week!) HotMail offers a spam blocking feature. It catches about a dozen e-mails a day, but one or two still get through. As my blocked list grows, my junk shrinks. Over time, I expect the blocking list to provide adequate protection.
