For telcoms don't forget VZ which has the huge IPO coming soon. Will spin off its wireless division creating two huge stocks. And don't discount T or FON either. WCOM is fine and I wish I hadn't bailed at 19. Bought it at 14 3/4 though so it was a nice position trade.

Sounds reasonable...remember, it's often hardest to take one's own advice...

Why buy CIEN at PE 100 (or whatever) when you can buy AAPL at PE 8? Though CIEN looks hot they could stumble while AAPL has only upside IMHO give or take a point or so. Not putting down CIEN but some perspective. Only four months ago I think I traded AAPL from 81 to 99 pre-split. It got up to 120 or so. It then split to 60 and is now at 17-18. It's PE reflects the fact that all bad news has been priced in (in spades). KNow anyone who owns an Apple? Will they ever use anything else? (probably not) And don't forget Jobs the showman. He's on the warpath now.
