ardethan, Thanks for the clarification. I better understand your point. Both BTEs and the ability to change the rules of the game are components of "control". GMST is great in one, lousy in the other. I believe the IPG is the controlling interface to any program listing, navigation and recording done on the television. Whereas MS integrated an internet browser into the OS, Gemstar is integrating VOD, PVR/DVR, hyperlinking and other functionality into the IPG. Regards Stew
