Good morning Lee, market was trying to do another rotation from old into new economy stocks last week. However the Naz direction this week will be heavily guided by earnings from high profile companies. We also have options expiration on Friday which tends to put some pressure on equities. After that all eyes will be on Fed watch again. The market will rally on a 50 basis pts cut, a 25 bp is already discounted. There'll be several key economic data before FOMC including the Dec CPI this Wed, housing starts, etc.

Starting out the week on the short side sounds safer to me.

Regards,

Tom
