Seems it was a joint venture whereby Epic would put up the initial key leases in exchange for a carried percentage. AEC was to buy more leases and eventually commit to full development of a storage facility if everything worked out(this was the story as I understood it from the old management). One of the things that may have held things up was the anticipation of the land sale. On the other hand some of the land bid on had production potential according to the TV report. Either way someone is going to start drilling in the basin fairly soon if they want to take advantage of current gas prices.
