That looks like it's one or two steps away from a itrust situation. When you have PKI-protected smart cards that include a fingerprint, you are ready for an itrust integrated biometric digital certificate -- but these guys don't have that yet. They may or may not be ready to use the biometric for sign on purposes (depending on whether or not their PCs have readers and software . . . probably not), but it wouldn't be integrated yet as digital signatures for a PKI-based digital certificate. To me, it looks closest to those Presideo VRSN deals, where Presideo has biometric sign on.

I haven't seen anything from Digital Persona, or Ethentica, or whoever else has an online biometric approach that equals the itrust concept. When an itrust can come into being with end users, that will be a very significant event. It hasn't happened yet.
