I had tree forts and would fall out of the occasional tree. I ended up organizing thirteen wilderness canoe trips in Canada, including three week stints in the Northwest Territories and the Yukon. Too much cement for us city boys apparently. A buddy of mine ended up doing his doctoral dissertation on the opening of the Canadian Northwest by the Hudson's Bay Company and he is now fully tenured at Loyola in Chicago. I actually did the preliminary edit on his book (he can't spell worth a damn and this was pre-spell check) and took his photograph for the dust jacket. When he wrote the Acknowledgments, he misspelled my name and forgot to credit me on the photo. LOL.
