WiseGuy,

RE: has slashed an 18-month order for wireless network equipment by nearly one-third to C$13.5 million.

NT is selling about $7.5B quarterly. $13.5MCdn over 18 months isn't a rounding error.

Only Mitec cares about this. ... and Paul "Braindead, but I love LUcy", Sagawa, of course.

Hi WG & all - I am still scratching my head about this *big deal* about NT canceling order, which amounts to C$27MM, especially when it is seen in light of a US$8B per Q revenue company. The same with the *big deal* about NT holding its staff level to 86,000 after growing from 74,000 a year ago, especially if it has been restructuring itself by emphasizing in the high growth area in the past 2 years. I wonder what is next. One possible scenario is that Mr Roth might be spotted eating at a NT's cafeteria and some people might conclude he couldn't afford to bring his own lunch <VBG>! Strange world. people seem to fixate on mundane stuff. But hey, with regulation FD, maybe the analysts need to justify their existence by playing armchair psychoanalysts <G>. Or, like the guy who did a shift at AMZN warehouse and then promptly declared the health of the whole company. All this while, they seem not wanting to rely on simple analysis like counting widgets etc etc

best, Bosco

No one would like to see Sagawa get a pie in his face at earnings more than I. Here's hoping. anna
