that if Ashcroft is nominated he had better uphold the rule of law and keep his religious and political beliefs to himself. And people said Junior George would steer to the middle. The truth is the conservatives have only 2 years until the congressional elections when in probability they will be booted from majority positions in congress. They want to yank the country as far to the right as they can in those two years. I think we should just stall, don't really need any new laws for two years. Pass some continuing resolutions, prevent any appointments and wait for the conservatives to go home. TP
