Ted, revenues were up 6% vs. the year ago quarter, flat vs. Q4-00.

Tony,

Given all the bad news coming from the PC makers, I was expecting Intel's revs to be flat sequentially and down YOY. I not sure how Intel books their chip sales but it looks like the PC makers may be the ones sitting on inventory. It will be interesting to see what AMD's revenues are like this quarter.

Ed. Here's why the said GMs will be down:

** Gross margin percentage in the first quarter of 2001 is expected to be 58 percent, plus or minus a couple of points, down from 63 percent in the fourth quarter primarily due to lower revenue.

Yeah, I read that.....I was taking it one step further and speculating why revenues would be down next quarter. When's the last time GMs were in the 50's? Do you know?

What did you think of the XIRC buy? I wasn't expecting it at all.
