Gary, in a world where dot.coms are dying dozen a day, intc has reported results that are far from negative. I hope once the market thinks it over, the stock will move up.

that is comparing to 1999, it downs(well mere 30M) comparing with last Q. BTW, they said record shipment of MPUs in this Q. Would that mean what JJ mentioned of borrowed from Peter to pay for John ?

I am worried that there is a lot of inventory with the PC makers. Given the kind of sales reports coming out of the PC makers, you would think that there has been no increase in Q4 business compared to Q3. So, based upon what Intel is reporting, either the PC makers are overstating the negative, they overbought and have large inventories at the end of Q4 or they bought less from AMD.

Maybe the AMD report this week will make clearer what's going on.
