no kidding. check out the above message. Intel is now warning the public that they will tell analysts private information in direct violation of the new SEC Fair Disclosure rules.

------------
The strangest thing for me, is their lack of visibility. Intel has always sounded confident in their guidance, now they have all sorts of disclaimers. It sounds like they don't know what the blank is going to happen in the next three months.

John,

Mary was pushing for conservative guidance so that intel could easily beat expectations.

Make sense; the lower, the better.

Do you think that may have to do with the SEC's RD requirement? They don't want to get hung up in shareholder suits? And in terms of the economy, the next few months look pretty hazy.

The other thing is the cap ex. Impressive. Good or bad, only time will tell.

Yep....its moving AMAT and NOVL in AH. I was wondering why the equipment makers have been fairly strong the past month. KLAC has been in a uptrend for at least a couple of weeks.

How do you think the markets will react tomorrow to Intel's earnings?

EDIT. A. Kumar was on CNBC just now.....says to pick up Intel at $26......makes my 401 purchase look a little lame.
