I don't understand. What would never be allowed? They sing this at her school. She loves it. I don't have a problem with her studying it, but I do have a problem with her singing it, it seems too much like endorsement. They also read a story, "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" which seemed to cross the line between studying 'about' Xtian mythology to endorsing it. They did not cover Hanukkah. I'm not against her learning about belief systems, i just don't want her to participate in the rituals or be indoctrinated in them. Later she can choose.
