If you are getting banner ads on SI, you can turn them off (someplace) in the customize area for your account. I haven't had problems with this specific ad on other sites but often I find pages load slowly because they are waiting for the ads and/or some external page count feature.

Intel will be finishing off its new Mega Flash Fab 22 (126,000 sq. ft. Clean Room) in Colorado Springs with some of that $7.5 Billion - and the "Expansion" (doubling) of Fab 11 in Albuquerque will also bring additional Flash capacity on line.
