Mitec revenues for wireless from Nortel slashed

" which is due to reduced demand from a particular service provider. In addition, some products that were being shipped under this overall agreement are now migrating into the same product, but in different frequency bands"

Not sure who this service provider is. What does blurb about different frequency bands mean to anyone?

there is some good news in here too!

" Mitec also announced new orders of approximately $6.5 million to supply a major network provider with wideband 2.5G CDMA equipment. These orders are part of a new multi-faceted expected three-year program with this customer. Shipments for these specific orders are starting this month and are expected to cover a four-month period"

Not sure I like the sound of NTT buying a stake in China Unicom. Is this the parent
or the listed firm? What are prospects that this stake would curb CDMA 1x roll-out
to CDMA2000?
