Well, that's what this thread is all about.. to discuss the pros and cons and let the facts fall where they may...

Another issue with nukes is disposal of radioactive waste.

Actually, if this nation was reprocessing nuclear waste, there would be FAR LESS of it to be buried. But that only reprocessing plant we had built was closed down under political pressure, thus guaranteeing that unnecessary quantities of reactor fuel goes to waste.

At least that's how I understand it.
