Just like ToysRUS has. That's where it's headed

Bill,

Let's think dual channel. I believe it has become evident that dual channel is the winning solution to on-line retailing. Meaning, retailing in general now. I do not believe a retailer will survive long term without an on-line selling presence and I believe the reverse is true.

The question that comes to mind is how many of the larger retail players prefer to outsource the on-line channel? Secondly, does this dilute the retailer's brand? Persoanlly, I believe it does dilute the brand and most firms will provide dual channel in house. Toys R Us is not representative. Toys R Us is fighting an uphill battle against Wal-mart in the toy market. The alliance with Amazon was a desperate move to conserve resources to compete. Do you see any other desperate major playars out there?
