Try to find an IH 560. Down pressure on the rear arms.

Hard to find any reference the 560 on the web. It seems to be one of the models in the IH-25 group. But damned if I can find anything spec or picturewise. I'm thinking if it's that hard, maybe I should steer clear.

By "down pressure" do you mean draft control which tends to keep the front down. If so, sounds like a Ferguson 3pt setup.

I only have 5 acres so I don't want overkill on the size.

I'm still lusting after a very nicely restored Ford 9n or 2n. I know it's old, but it has what I need to get the job done. Ferguson 3pt mainly. No live PTO, but my life is pretty easy, I could use the challenge. Couple of my neighbors have Ford Ns. These things tend to go up in value rather than down. This one's still sitting at the used car dealer's lot after months. Stopped by yesterday and the guy is now asking mid 3Ks. Originally was mid 5Ks. And he's getting tired of it hanging around so long and say's he's "flexible". I'm considering offering around 2K, assuming it checks out ok, and see what he says.
