Didn't know that was an option. I put black electric tape over blinking clock years ago.

New VCR instructions,...setting the clock,...

1) Give the old VCR to the kid

2) Proceed to Wal*Mart,..for about US$80, or CDN$120 you can get a stereo VCR with auto clock that when first turned on scans the channels to find a time signal and sets itself
