I remember James Morgan saying in December of '97 that chipmakers had to buy semiconductor equipment to stay in business, but bookings fell nonetheless.

If every other recent rally has had a very short life span, is there any reason why this rally should persist? With lower guidance from many of these companies and a definite slowing of the economy, is it realistic to think that investors will love these semi companies as they bail out of many Nasdaq stocks?

For myself as Monday comes around I will be buying back into those stocks that I got called out of and immediately writing some at the money covered calls.
