Good luck with long positions, especially on margin. I do not mean that with any sarcasm. That is one area I haven't ventured in as too many I know, have gotten the devastating "call".

Frankly, yes, that was a tad Clownish. You don't do that kind of thing until it really does look like the world is ending, everybody around you agrees that it's ending, and valuations say you're in a safe position.

As far as I can tell, we (on this thread) are the only ones that thought the depression was on. Given the dramatic shift in psychology, I'm even questioning that now. Could be postponed until later this year, but I doubt it.

F*ck Greenspan - Invisible Hand rules. Over the long haul, he is a gnat by comparison. Bad investments will ultimately lose money, with or without the Greenspan put. Question is unfortunately just a matter of who pays. His way, the rational investor gets sacrificed to cover the idiot. Ah, Mother Government, save us from our own stupidity.

Bring on the slow bleeding-to-death of this debt-driven pig...
