Who ARE these Einsteins anyway?

Everyone but me. ... or so it frequently seems.
Ian.

Yes, I wish the $treet wouldn't look 12 months ahead one time - 6 months another. Who ARE these Einsteins anyway?<G>

It took more than a year from the first Fed rate hike until the first signs that economic growth was moderating. It's always the case that semi capex responds later than the rest of the economy. When you have such long time lags built into the system, is it any wonder that the time frame is so imprecise?

Gottfried, a lot of Semi equip have put in "gravestone doji"s today (namely opening and closing near the same level after an excursion to much higher prices). Since those "higher prices" where often at major overhead resistance area (AMAT at around $50, NVLS at around $49, CYMI around $35 VECO around the $60 to $62 area (ir got a little higher, but also receded).

Did any one hear of AMD's intentions on CAPEX? Last Q they had only about $266 MM in capex, but I could not see there what their intentions were on Capex for next year.
