Typically companies recognize revenue when the product leaves the company shipping point, from my experience that's the standard. But there are many ways to recognize revenue, and everything evens out, as long as you are consistent. I don't think it's an issue.

(I worked for a company where we would have them loading up trailers with shipments until midnight the last day of the quarter, and then pull the trailers 10 feet off the dock, and call them shipped, and recognize the revenue. A stupid game)
