Mary,

I liked it at the end, when Jack Welch said he hoped that IT investments were being cut by his competitors. And that everything was about technology.

Mary,

my lesson learned is that it is better to buy a company with improving fundamentals on the way up than try to find a bottom when fundamentals are deteriorating. I believe the analysts were wrong regarding INTC since they were expecting a PC slowdown due to saturation and then a huge price war. This has not happened but the massive economic slowdown sure makes it look like they knew what they were talking about.

If you are buying on margin i would wait even on INTC because it is not going to run away from you in the short-run. If this is a longterm investment without margin it doesn't matter if you buy now or for a few dollars lower or higher later so you might as well dive in.

good luck,
