I laugh every time I see that stat.

Housing prices in the bay area went up approx 14% per month over the last 2 years.

And that is being conservative.

Anyone who believes the BLS statistics is smoking crack.

actually: since they almost certainly use municipal water supplies, the cereal is likely to be flouridated, so you can subtract at least 25% of the price.
Moreover, the packaging is of a more pleasing variety, and that should be worth something...
