I wish there was a way, on a daily basis to follow up the shorts activity, it is a travesty, IMHO, that we get these numbers olnly once a month and even then, the numbers are two weeks old. From the volume action, I would say, however, that it is more than the shorts holding up this market, there simply are'nt enough of them (g). I also think that a lot of "buying ammunition" is being used here to support this market (particularly the seasonal investments of 401k accounts etc.), and once this ammunition is spent, and the hope for major support from the fed "dissipates" (namely next month) the market may fall of its own weight. I do not mind being very heavily in cash here at just above 2700 on the Naz.
