I would ask the shorts to show me the clinical trials in which the FDA has asked for or accepted troponin as a surrogate for heart tissue necrosis. I'm bluffing of course, because I don't really know (anyone know how I can quickly search for this?). But the troponin debate is relatively NEW and I believe the issue is primarily with respect to whether it is predictive of MI risk. Is there a more accepted measure of heart tissue necrosis, other than harvest and staining, than CK-MB (along with platelet activity and a lot of other stuff I don't understand)?

Sorry if I am repeating myself.
