yes, reboot might be a good plan.

do you have blackice defender installed? that has an audible alarm to signal intrusion attempts. look for a blinking icon in your systemtray.

if not blackice, do you have other firewall software installed that may be doing it?

what about audible alarms for any monitoring utilities like norton sensors?

let us know. i am about to take off for awhile, but will check back soon.
