I concede those things, but there are not important in the larger picture. They fall into the category of convenience, or, in the case of biotech, on the fringes of the economy. For the average Joe or for the bulk of the economy, we are not that much more productive than a few years ago, yet BLS would have us think we are.

There are things for which the computer is best suited, things that could not be done without them, but very, very few of these things make the economy a more efficient machine. Name some examples that matter where we are X times more productive than in 1995. Manufacturing? Home building? Energy extraction? Transportation?
