John Hancock's Braman Likes Nortel Networks

Dow Jones Newswires

NEW YORK -- Will Braman, chief investment officer at John Hancock Funds, thinks that growth
stocks will make gains this year and places Nortel Networks Corp. (NT) among his top 10 picks.

"Nortel is a dominant producer of communications equipment both for the public carrier network
place and in the enterprise network place and has dominant positions in virtually every enterprise
and public carrier network," Braman told CNBC Wednesday.

He said expectations are low but when the company reports earnings in the next few days "we will
probably see a penny or two upside surprise."
