Claude, I suspect he is using gold as a leading indicator, like Greenspandex. <LOL> People never get bottoms right, that's bottoms other than at strip joints. <VBG>

I've read some stuff a while back that showed how the trend in gold prices lead the inflation indexes by one year. That may be what his reference is based on.
