stopping was a wise move Ishmale

over the week-end, I went to the House Of Blues for their Sunday morning gospel brunch

the club is decorated so lush and wild, the concert hall gives you the feeling of old New Orleans

at 9:30 sunday morning most of the people looked half dead as they dragged themselves into the club after an all nighter in Chicago. by the time everyone left they were spirited, vibrant and all smiles

rarely have I had as much fun! the choir was excellent, I couldn't believe all the talent, how rich their voices were, their timing, all magnificent. there were only three musicians, a guitarist, drummer and organist. the drummer was outstanding and it was hard to believe only three musicians could make that sound. the acoustics were excellent. the singing was infectious, everyone ending up on their feet, singing, swaying, clapping and waving their napkins in the air

I was in a private box, so got the best view of the stage and bruncher munchers. one man had the most incredible foot movements, he just slipped across the stage

the last song they did was, Oh Happy Day, and it brought down the house with thunder!

afterwards I met the drummer and guitarist. they seemed so unaware of their talent, humble, genuinely pleased I had enjoyed them so much

it was pure delight
