intc goes to a lot of work to eake out the pennies on the production line.

Nothing wrong with that.

i doubt if they make any acquisition where they don't know exactly how they will get their return on investment from the get go.

That makes sense.....do you think they are getting a good return on their acquisitions? I mean, do you think their buys are helping their bottom line substantively?
