It was turned back today by supply at the October low.

Sellers at that level must be exhausted before it can go higher. There shouldn't be too many of them since it only held there for about a week.

A gap was left Tuesday between 1-3/8 and 1-3/4. I'm tempted to call it a breakaway gap, but I believe that term generally refers to a break away from a consolidation pattern. There wasn't much consolidation in this case. But, it certainly was a Breakaway gap (g). Downside risk may be to close that gap. May not happen, since there was heavy buying this week above the gap, but if it does I wouldn't panic. FWIW.

Re: cost savings

Talked to someone from Kope recently. They're going with the ASP model for IT; maintaining only a small IT department of three or four people to manage interaction with outside consultants. Why? Because their competitive advantage comes from the technology; that's what they're good at and that's where they want to concentrate their energy.
