<But is the December bottom the real deal? < I think the market will continue to try to "guess" at when the economic news will turn positive and each collective "guess" will be a rally followed by a fall off. I don't believe that any sustained upward movement can take place until there is real evidence that things have either levelled off or are heading up in the overall economy. I don't believe that there has ever been a sustained rally while all economic indicators continued to point down.
