I disagree. AMD is not ahead in process technology as you claim, they are behind. The fact that AMD uses copper simply means AMD had to use copper to remain competitive. The Athlon reaches higher speeds than P3 because of it's design, not the process. P4 is well ahead of Athlon in frequency, not soley because of design as P4 will see 2GHz on the current .18u process. Not all due to the design but to the superior process as well. Intel didn't use copper on the .18u process because they didn't need it. AMD used it because they had to.
