Someone posted recently an article suggesting that Christian interests had enough invested in Ashcroft that they wanted something for their money. Of course while Bush parroted "sore loser" as he perched on the status quo of the election results as the counting issue raged on, pre USSC travesty, Bush owed Ashcroft a debt of gratitude for not challenging the results when Ashcroft lost to a dead man. But this is entirely too much.
