And this is trivial? From personal experience, I can tell you this is much harder than it seems.

I didn't say it was trivial, but it may be an easier approach than building a northbridge with 8 sets of connections to 8 processors (or better performance-wise than 8 processors fighting for the shared bus).

As far as AMD having > 2 processor system in early 2002, my guess is no way.

A 2 way system may eventually make it to a commercial system a year after plan in Q4 2001 (vs. Q4 2000 plan).
