Ashcroft's public statements indicate that he feels that the laws of God are above those
of humans, and that he believes that he knows exactly what the laws of God are.

Perhaps you are better aquainted with Ashcroft's statements then I am. I mostly only know what I saw on the broadcasts of the hearings (and I only saw part of the hearings). Ashcroft's public statements in the hearings was that he thought as senator his job was to make law and push an agenda but as attorney general his job is to enforce the law (andsupport positions of the president). If he doesn't think that way it should be fairly easy to prove. He was a state attorney general just post evidence that he refused to enforce certain laws during this time and you have greatly stregnthened your case.
