I think Americans are obsessed with the stock market. If the Nasdaq is no fun to trade anymore they will just play in other areas like the Dow or energy. When the Nasdaq looks fun again they swap into that. America still hasn't lost it's taste for the market. Perhaps we will see the ultimate bottom only after no one wants to buy any stocks period. Drugs, tech, financials, consumers, energy etc.
