I don't doubt that housing sales and prices will weaken but I don't see them crashing down except in places where excesses are extreme, like New York City and Silicon Valley perhaps. I think we are still on a macrotrend caused by the demographics of the baby boomer generation which will not peak for another 8 or 10 years. Also don't forget that there are a lot of second and vacation homes still to be built and sold.
