John, I guess I'm the only Intel-AMD watcher around here that saw Sanders on CNBC today. He was on at about 6:15 Pacific. He was quite "cordial" and not trash talking like some reported here from the CC. He was also somewhat bullish and confident, but still cautious about 2001. Asked about the PC, which CNBC has been burying pretty deep lately, he gave an answer something like Intel's of the other day: it will become the center point of all kinds of access devices, something like that. Asked how they'll keep up with Intel re R&D and capex, he mentioned they were ahead because of early CU adoption, mentioned #12 in patents. I guess he did good wrt the investment community. Congrats, so far.

Tony

Here's a notebook w/tft and DVD for $1199. If you tell them you are a Compaq shareholder you may get it for $1100.
