I find the 10- and 20-day HILOs on the database tend to confirm short-term peaks. The US ratio is supposed to indicate extremes as well and probably approach 80% sells for the Universe this week. If the WAL ratio is also strongly negative over 80%, it usually indicates a very strong decline will follow. That's not indicated now. It was just prior to the Fed raising rates. As it is run end of day, if an intraday reversal is made, one can be a little late. Typical peaks for 20-day HILOs are around 800-1000 highs or lows, or about 25% of the stocks in the database.
