I for one have no real need to drive a Landcruiser instead of, say, a minivan.

But I really really really hate minivans, and the Landcruiser is a really cool car.

People where it snows. If it wasn't for my wife's Grand Cherokee with 4X4 we would have been stranded at home for about a week in December and that is in southern Missouri.
I am sure they are a necessity in the Northern states more often.
