Louis V.

Thanks a lot.
That makes perfect sense. Basically it is Wall Street vs. Joe and Jane Sixpack. Wall Street wins statistically a lot more than it loses. More expiry tricks.

Does it explain the drift over the past couple of days ?

Stock Options expire 'last tick' on Friday.
Is this true for QQQ options and SPY options. (Options on the Index Fund Stocks)?

I remember that SPX (Index) options expire off some funny 'first tick' on Friday. Basically no-one but big cap professionals can trade this.

I am not sure about NDX (Index) options.

Still the Index options are way too large for my tastes, but it would interesting to know what the hell is going on.
(It would make a pleasant change at the moment).

thx
