The 'big dogs' deal in amounts that dwarf anything the folks who might read about Max-Pain™ might affect, so no I don't think Max-Pain has anything to do with the earlier 'unwinding' that appears to be occurring. I think it's the fact that more people became aware, due to TV reporting, the internet, SI, etc, of the BD's unwinding patterns that they have found it more opportune to do it earlier and less 'lock-step' to achieve the best deals.

Max pain analysis on options is overly hyped. I don't find it very useful at all, and don't see why people go on and on about it.
