As a person who takes great pride in calling myself a liberal, I would say that a true liberal mindset would not think like that at all.

Perhaps you should wait to hear the facts? Energy companies are famous for ripping off Californians. A couple of years ago gas prices shot up by 20% in California, while they remained constant in the rest of the US.

Of course, it is much easier to sit in your palm Beach home and criticize all those stupid people who populate the largest high tech center in the world. (Home of Intel and AMD.)
