DJ Critical Path Halted -2: Shrs Traded At Under $4 Pre-Mkt

02 Feb 10:31

WASHINGTON (Dow Jones)--The Nasdaq Stock Market halted trading in Critical
Path Inc. for more information Friday after the company announced it is
investigating questionable transactions in its financial results.

In a press release Friday, Nasdaq said trading in Critical Path will remain
halted until the company has fully satisfied the market's request for
additional information.

Trading in Critial Path was halted at 9:09 a.m. EDT, before the market open.

The issue closed on the Nasdaq at $10.06 Thursday. In premarket trading earlier
Friday, Critical Path traded at under $4.

As reported, Critical Path's board formed a special committee to investigate
its revenue recognition practices, and said the company discovered a number of
transactions that 'put into question' its financial results.

The company said earlier Friday fourth quarter results may be 'materially
misstated,' and cautioned that the investigation has just begun.
