Just my view.

Suspect if any hard evidence surfaces, you'll find that's a shared view.

One of my favorite "tweaks" is whether the third base line between home and third "slopes" toward or away from the field depends upon the relative skills of the home and "away" thirdbasemen.

The game is sacrosanct; this is part of the game.

Yeah, I'd like tech out of the way, too; what could the bamboo pole vaulters do with a steel pole,; what would the steelies do with fiberglass? Guess it all evens out; probably pro baseball is the least unchanged; they are traditional enuf to not allow the plink of a ball on Aluminum to replace the crack of the bat. I hate those phony things.

I was going to talk something on respecting owners, but I realized that there are some I do; who I really respect is the coach who can take inferior talent and really do something with them. I immediately think of Bill Walsh; if you look at the first 49er Superbowl team, there really wasn't much there, but they won it all. He went thru players so fast his first few years that guys would come and go in a week, but he managed to scrape up enuf free agents and rookies, and combined them with this absolutely incredible sense of how to run the offense, and won it all. Lombardi, Noll, some others.

Love,
