It also helps to have Ashcroft hearings, inaugural opening, and Clinton farewell address all competing with Jessie's love child for the headlines.

That's how Clinton managed bad news, isn't it? He created or timed headlines (usually by starting a war) to grab them away from his own scandals. The liberal media all-too-willingly went along with it.
